We’ve stayed at this hotel 3 separate times, in 3 different styled suites, and each time was great. From the service to the amenities, it’s a fantastic choice if you’re in town visiting and want to be close to everything in the city. I’m a local in Pittsburgh’s more suburban areas, and this is my go to choice for a night out on the town. We usually enjoy the onsite bar that serves food (which has a lower level open sometimes), and their pool is gorgeously done. They also have outdoor hangout areas if you’re in Pittsburgh in our warmer months. The managers and staff were very kind even during busy holiday hustle & bustle. I would highly recommend! Pros: Parking lot in back (not included), convenient to Pittsburgh’s city life, great suite options, beautiful views from certain rooms, bar and restaurant onsite Cons: Some rooms could have better upgrades to be considered luxury (in my opinion), parking can be more expensive due to events happening in the city due to Pittsburgh’s enforcements

Cambria Hotel is steps from PPG Paints Arena. Convenient parking behind the hotel. Check-in was smooth and our room was spotless and comfortable. Food and beverage is available but a bit pricey and the bar wasn't prepared for the Journey post concert crowd and ran out of the more popular alcohol. Maybe they thought we'd go straight to our rooms at 10:00 but they were dead wrong. 95% of us there grew up in the 70's .

Rooms were nice and large, plenty of room and quiet. Bed & pillows were comfortable, although it had a creaking sound to it if you rolled over or got in and out of bed. Could’ve been cleaner, but it is what it is. It could definitely use some updates. Mini fridge had a hard time keeping closed, but would close. The thicker part of the curtain was broke, but was able to move the other 2 layers to prevent light into room. The closet door looked like it was ready to come off track, we left it alone, didn’t use the closet. Front desk staff were wonderful and polite.

We must have gotten a room that was recently refurbished? Because our experience does not match that of the other reviewers. The room we had was spacious, clean, and well maintained. We had the two queen suite and it was perfect for three adults with space to lounge besides the bed. The lobby was a great place to hang out after the concert, lots of space and well decorated. The front desk staff were very friendly. Although, check-in did take some time because all the concert goers showed up at once. I’d be happy to stay here again after another concert.

Overall, we had no issues with the staff who were very friendly or the room which met all of our needs. However, more transparency about parking would be appreciated in the future. We paid $50 to park in the garage attached to the hotel and PPG Paints Arena to attend a Penguins game not knowing that we would also incur an additional $32 fee for parking on the hotel level of the same garage which is only accessible through a separate gate. Offering earlier access to at least the hotel parking area (we did inquire about earlier check-in and were advised this could not be guaranteed) would have been more ideal rather than having to pay to park in the same garage twice.

The young lady that checked us in (and out) was spectacular, very kind and helpful, she definitely made it seem like it was going to be a good weekend. Also the lady behind the bar was very friendly, and we were more than happy with the pizza she suggested so we shared with her. Rooms were a little worn but definitely served their purpose…
